Transloading Services
Iowa Northern Railway Company has multiple facilities in operation for transloading services.
Manly Terminal is a 100 acre site in Manly, Iowa primarily serving the renewable fuels and renewable energy industries. The terminal handles chemicals such as: sulfuric acid, caustic soda, methanol, and other products including corn oil, feed ingredients, and liquid fertilizer. There are two 1 million gallon tanks and one 3 million gallon tank for storage with land for future expansion. The Terminal also contains a 25 acre wind turbine component distribution center operated by UPDS.
Adjacent to the Terminal to the east and south is Iowa Northern’s Manly Yard, which is a 700 car classification yard and transload site. The Andersons operate a railcar repair facility in the yard.
Adjacent to Manly Terminal to the north is Manly Logistics Park, which is currently under construction. Manly Logistics Park has a two mile loop track surounding 165 acres of industrial development. The first development will be a steel coil transload and storage facility.
Bryant Yard, in Waterloo, Iowa, has a cross dock for boxcar commodities and fifteen car spots for direct rail to truck transloading. Among the products handled at Bryant Yard are food grade and industrial starch, construction products, and tomato paste.
